I haven't played this style since the introduction of pop system though, so I'm not sure how feasible this style is currently. It's a nice change of pace to play a heroic role in a galactic scale war between good and evil, instead of the usual 4x domination style games. It also becomes quite challenging to manage all the different races, factions etc which is both good and bad. I like having racial diversity, as it gives a lot of roleplaying flavor and is sometimes even beneficial(diverse habitability, specialized races etc).

Upside of this style is that it gives you ample amount of refugees/immigrants from all over the galaxy, resulting in high amount of pops and great diversity. You hate racist empires like Fanatic Purifiers etc(that I put in manually) so fighting against them naturally makes you good friends with a lot of empires, forming a federation of good empires against evil. Wait another full minute and you should get an in game error message that says 'Game server not responding' or something similar. My favorite style is Galactic Hero, an egalitarian, pacifist sanctuary that take in refugees from all over the galaxy while fighting "evil" empires.īasically you take the role of a diplomatic leader against bullies, usually resulting in a tall empire but a huge federation.

The game will show up and when you try to join it will tell you 'Game info cannot be obtained' or something similar.

Testing Systems: Win 7 64bit and Vista 64bit.Ģ) Create a server in Hamachi and write down server ip.ģ) Connect to other person's Hamachi server by going to Network -> Join existing Network in Hamachi (put the host's server name in for Server ID).ĥ) Launch I76 and host an Internet game and create a new server using whichever Hamachi server's IP address you want, just remember it needs to be the same for the host and for anyone joining.Ħ) Joining party needs to connect to the same IP address.ħ) The game may take awhile to recognize that there is a game on the server, wait approximately 1 full minute. Not sure about over the net, but my brother and I have got Hamachi working for LAN multiplayer.
